There are more than 40 plant collections at the 50-acre Harry P. Leu Gardens in downtown Orlando, including a tropical rainforest and Florida's largest formal rose garden. In addition, the National Register of Historic Places lists the Leu House Museum, a beautifully preserved family home from the 1880s. In addition to classes and lectures, permanent and rotating exhibitions, jazz concerts, outdoor movie nights, and other cultural events throughout the year, Leu Gardens is part of Orlando's charming Audubon Park Garden District.

In Orlando's tech-forward Lake Nona community, the Lake Nona Sculpture Garden offers a tropical garden filled with contemporary art. The outdoor gallery currently features four works from local artist JEFRE as well as acclaimed works from a private collection of global significance. In addition to over 300 Florida-grown palms, fragrant shrubs and seasonal blooms, it features meandering garden paths and artistic seating. The garden behind the Lake Nona Wave Hotel features a rotating art collection, offering visitors something new every time they visit.

MEAD BOTANICAL GARDEN
Within ten minutes of downtown Orlando, Mead Botanical Garden is a 48-acre urban oasis with walking trails, native landscaping, cultivated botanical gardens, as well as a greenhouse and two beautiful butterfly gardens. Enjoy a day out on the boardwalk trail, attend an outdoor concert or yoga session, or pack a picnic and connect with nature. Visitors to Mead Botanical Garden are free to enter 365 days per year.

KRAFT AZALEA GARDEN
Winter Park's Kraft Azalea Garden is a 5-acre waterfront park with towering cypress trees, picturesque lake views, and brilliant azaleas. You can paint, picnic, or simply relax under the shade; it also features a beautiful exedra, a great egret rookery, and the largest banyan tree north of Miami. A garden named for Winter Park residents George and Maud Kraft, who helped establish the park in 1938, is located there.
UNIVERSITY OF CENTRAL FLORIDA ARBORETUM
Its diverse natural lands and gardens, including a 7-acre Arboretum Park, 14 miles of hiking trails and over 800 acres of native Florida ecosystems, make the UCF Arboretum an ideal natural laboratory and nature retreat. The Arboretum's gardens and trails can be explored at your leisure or by guided tour from sunrise to sunset. It also includes bamboo, native plants, mindfulness gardens, a greenhouse, an apiary, and a boardwalk trail.

Albin Polasek Museum & Sculpture Gardens, the former home of the Czech sculptor Albin Polasek, brings art and nature together. There are over 50 outdoor sculptures in this three-acre lakefront garden, part of the impressive Winter Park estate.

BOK TOWER GARDENS
This 250-acre oasis is well worth the hour-and-a-half drive from Orlando. In addition to a 205-foot Art Deco Singing Tower and scenic vistas, the park offers tranquil landscape gardens, inviting woodland trails and a daily Carillion concert. The concerts can be heard throughout the gardens, including the nature-inspired Hammock Hollow children's garden and El Retiro, a mansion with a Mediterranean style constructed in the 1930s. In Lake Wales, it is close to LEGOLAND Florida Resort.

NEHRLING GARDENS
Hidden within Gotha, a German American-founded community near Universal Orlando Resort, is a hidden treasure called Nehrling Gardens. Originally owned by pioneer botanist Henry Nehrling, the garden has over 3000 varieties of plants, including tropical fruits, palms, and a number of rare and exotic species. The site is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and scientists, horticulturalists, and casual visitors continue to pay attention to it. Visitors are welcome Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and the first and second Saturday of each month from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Consider taking a guided tour of Nehrling's 1885 pioneer home or volunteering in the gardens if you'd like to explore a little deeper.
